World of Warcraft | Khaz Gorath

Hullo Hullo.

Hope your all having fun in WOW - been missing you for the last week or so while I've been offline. Been meaning to write something up on the forum but wasn't exactly sure what to say - and I've been flat out with work and life which is the main reason I've been off in the first place.

Can't tell you how much it was killing me to be offline during the AV weekend ;(

Just wanted to let you know I'm alive and plan to be back in Azeroth soon.

I've been playing WOW for over 2 years now - and it's sucked up a LOT of time from my work, life, family time etc. I've loved it for the most part and I definitely plan to keep playing - can't wait for the Lich expansion to come out. I'm also keen to explore the fun of a PVP realm an other things.

But I'm trying to play less and enjoy life outside a bit more. My work is going well again and It's been a lot of fun lately - apart from the last 2-3 weeks while we are moving servers which has been my main reason for being offline. Be glad when all this is done next week.

My wife has also had an operation (nothing serious) and of course I've been spending more time with her - which has been great. I'll admit we used to do a lot more together before I played WOW. Not that couples in a relationship shouldn't take time out to do things they want to do themselves - they really should - but it's been a bit extreme at times with WOW.

The whole Raid thing and some officers leaving Scar has been a bit of a pain. We have been so lucky over the last year to have a great bunch of guys to help put things together for the rest of the guild. Sometimes its been stressful and I understand when people get frustrated with some lack of progression or whatever.

I wish all the guys who have left and moved on nothing but the best and wish them well in playing their game. A big thanks and mucho appreciation for your efforts and time.

Being an officer is a responsible thing. We try to pick people who are not only proactive in the guild, but are also helpful and friendly to guildies. Someone who is proactive in putting together a couple of raids, but in general is an asshole and quite abusive to guildies when no officers are around isn't going to be given responsibility for invite, promotions, bootings and the guild bank.

If we need some new leaders when I get back online I will certainly look at promoting a few people. But you dont need to be an officer in Scar to be a leader. If you want to organise raids, organise a lvl 1 run, whatever - DO IT. Officers are there to just do some invites, boot assholes and generally keep an eye on things. Scar is open to anyone to run things and have fun. Don't bitch about nothing being organised for you - do something.

God this is getting long lol.

So I look forward to coming back on and playing again. To be honest over the last few weeks I've had a dozen options of what to do running through my head. Leave Scar. Break up Scar. Boot everyone except those I know. But in the end I really like the guild and the people I chat with. I'll never be a huge raider but it's fun to have a family online to share things with. The break away from it has been great for me. I missed it at first, then I didn't, now I do again for all the right reasons.

Nuff said. Look forward to seeing you soon (whoever is left lol).
