Hey guys, I know Acan's been the one who usually gets the people for his group's raids and I've tried getting a grp together (not without hiccups :P) recently myself. Just got some things I've gotta say to those in it, maybe anyone even.
1) If you've signed up, please make sure you attend. If you can't, let us know in advance. Unless there's an emergency. No, dismounting in flight, hitting your head on the pipes and being unable to reach your body doesnt count. Don't run instances that you know won't finish in time for raids either. This includes those who are on standby, you may needed in the raid if thats what the RL requires.
2) PVP is fun, but to stop ally killings before raids and come deflagged. It's not nice getting hit by allys and not being able to hit back i.e soft prot warriors like myself. Makes buffing up and healing a bit more difficult as a group.
3) Be ready with consumables, flasks, elixirs, food etc etc. If you can't get it, ask. I'm sure Neun, Deal, Wenchy (soz if I missed out anyone) have a ready supply of food and pots in the bank. It's better to be over-prepared and cruise through than enduring wipes just coz you don't have that extra 500 hp or that last few dps.
4) Priority will be given to those who are in the group and have signed up. It's unfair taking in people who are neither. Exceptions can be made though if someone has to pull out.
I know these things might be slightly hardcore but as I see it, it's in the best interest of the raid and just plain courtesy. The rest of the 9 or 24 shouldn't be waiting for someone just coz he's not ready. And being on time and prepared makes everthing easier. The points include some stuff I've read or heard somewhere so you might have seen them before. These are just my opinions (those I can remember anyway) and you can choose to ignore it for all I care. :S Thanks for reading and may all your drops be purple :P.
